1250Ships News

November 2011

Welcome to our revised web site. If you are looking for the "old" 1250Ships.com a bit of explaination. A year ago we sold the majority of the business to Morning Sunshine Models. They are now running our shopping cart software package and have on offer thousands of 1/1250 scale models. Go check them out.

Part of the deal was that we would continue to produce and offer our California Models and 1250 Models lines. In addition we are still the US source for Sea Vee models.

With the limited nature of the business we no longer are running a shopping cart system and no longer offer the ability to directly take credit card payments. All ordering will be via email and payment through Paypal. You can use Paypal balances or a credit card to pay our Paypal invoices.

All of our current inventory is now listed on the site. In most cases one or two photos have been posted. Many items have only 1 or 2 copies left and all orders are subject to availability- first come, first served.

As of November 3rd we have in stock over 40 different Sea Vee models. Many of these have been sold out for years. We also have copies of some of our 1250 Models releases that have also been out of stock for many years. These came from the collection of Norm Johnson of Stockton, California who passed away earlier this year. The majority of these models are still sealed in there original boxes. This a great chance to pick up some very hard to find models.

Last month we released our latest California Models releases of the Great Lakes freighters Arthur M Anderson and William Clay Ford in their as built configurations. Limited number are in stock now at $70 plus shipping each. These are two of the eight AAA class lake freighters built in the 1950s. We will do more liveries covering sister ships plus versions of the ships as lengthened straight deckers and as they were eventually modified with self-unloading booms.
