RHE 174A Junon or Venus

Junon and Venus were two of the six Minerve class submarines. The class were improved 630 Series designs with more power and better armament. The class had six internal 550 mm torpedo tubes (four in the bow and two in the stern) and three 400 mm tubes mounted externally on a moveable triple mount.
Junon was built by Chantiers et Ateliers Normand, Le Havre. She was laid down June 9, 1932, launched September 15 1935 and commissioned September 20, 1937.
Junon was seized by the British in July 1940 and handed over to the Free French forces. She was returned to French control post war, decommissioned December 6, 1954 and scrapped sometime in 1960.
Venus was built by Chantiers Worms, Rouen. She was laid down June 27, 1932, launched April 6,1935 and commissioned November 15, 1936.
Venus remained under Vichy control after the fall of France and was scuttled at Toulon on November 27, 1942.
