New 1/1250 scale waterline model of the American survey ship Bowditch AGS-4 by Saratoga (SMY 63) as in 1944.
First launched in 1929 as Danish build passenger ship Santa Inez. Purchased by US March 4, 1940 and outfitted as a surveying vessel. Conducted geodetic surveys in places such as Newfoundland, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cuba and Haiti.
Survey work in Pacific and Caribbean through 1943. Sent to Pacific 1944 supporting invasions in the Central Pacific through Okinawa. Post-war surveyed Bikini in support of Operation Crossroads. Decommissioned January 31, 1947.
