New 1/1250 scale model of the American stores ship USS Culgoa AF-3 by Saratoga Model Shipyard (SMY 64).
Built 1889 by J. L. Thompson and Sons, Sunderland, England. Purchased by the US Navy June 4, 1898 to supply the fleet in the Philippines during the Spanish American War. Initially not commissioned to allow her to enter neutral ports. Commissioned December 1898. Supported cruise of the Great White Fleet and served during the First World War. Decommissioned last day of December 1921 and sold for scrap July 25, 1922.
